Carpineto Chianti Classico is a regular version of Chianti Classico coming off estate owned vineyards at Greve in Chianti. It falls more on the full bodied style with a weighty midpalate of 90/10 sangiovese/canaiolo. In 2019 the wine opens with aromatic notes of violets and red berries that spill onto its earthy, wild red fruit palate that finishes tart and a bit short. Best served now with a mushroom or meaty pizza.
